Digitas Liquorice was well represented at the 2024 Bookmarks Awards with 10 judges judging the best digital work in South Africa. Our judges sat across multiple panels that best demonstrate our core expertise, including the Special Honours, Builders, Innovative Engineers, Marketing Craft, Social, Community and Influencer, Youth Action, and Performance Marketing panels.
Industry
in one of her roles on the IAB South Africa Research & Measurement Council, Digitas Liquorice MD Paula Hulley delivered the latest IAB South Africa Internet Advertising Revenue Report. The report showed a remarkable 21.5% year-on-year growth from 2022. Executive Creative Director Ntokozo Nhlanhla shared his expertise in the IAB’s Actionable Insights Series to equip marketers, content creators, and designers on how best to leverage Generative AI in their strategies and planning.

Celebrating the next generation of creative leaders
The 2024 Loeries Creative Week gave us the opportunity to raise the profile of South Africa’s young creatives. As part of Publicis Groupe, we were proud to sponsor The Loeries Student Expo – a showcase of the best student work from across the country.
Account Executive Zen Tunguntwana collaborated with women industry leaders and newcomers in Open Chair’s Friends in High Places event during Loeries Creative Week. This knowledge exchange was initiated to strengthen the community of women in the industry and serve as a pathway to ensure that future leadership positions are filled by brilliant, bright, young women.


Through judging, knowledge sharing, masterclass participation, and sponsorship, Publicis helped lead industry upliftment and evolution. Our Digitas Liquorice ECD Ntokozo Nhlanhla was part of the Loeries judging panel for Digital Craft. Publicis Groupe was awarded Regional Agency Group of the Year, validating our long-term strategy, built around the Power of One, which integrates creativity, media and technology to deliver seamless solutions for clients.
